Thuan Chau (Son La): Organizing the Orange To event "Joining hands for gender equality"

Attending the event were leaders of some departments and branches of Thuan Chau district and 250 delegates representing members of Community Communication Teams, volunteers of 27 communes implementing Project 8 "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children" under the National Target Program on socio -economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas in Thuan Chau district.

At the event, communication activities were organized in the form of dramatization, through real-life situational skits, delegates learned about gender, gender equality and gender-related issues approved by competent authorities, widely disseminated to women and children of ethnic minorities. At the same time, 100% of the grassroots Women's Union officials of Thuan Chau district were mobilized to actively participate in capacity building training courses and communication events organized by all levels.

Through the event, we aim to promote information, propaganda and mobilization work at all levels, sectors, organizations, individuals and the whole society to join hands to eliminate all forms of discrimination and gender-based violence... creating conditions and opportunities for women and girls to develop equally.
