Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh proposed to deploy more forces and means, including the use of sniffer dogs, change methods, and take advantage of time to quickly search for missing people in Lang Nu.

After inspecting and directing the work to overcome the consequences of storms and floods in Yen Bai province, on the afternoon of September 12, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh went to Lang Nu village, Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province - where landslides buried 37 households, causing 95 deaths and missing people - to inspect and directly direct the search and rescue work for the victims and visit and encourage the people and families of the victims.
We were present at Lang Nu village and witnessed, alongside more than 600 officers, soldiers and forces trying to dig and search for missing people, the weary eyes of the people waiting for a "miracle" for their missing relatives...
Wading directly into the swamp, encouraging the forces searching for people missing due to the flood, the Prime Minister requested to arrange more forces and means, including the use of sniffer dogs, change methods, and take advantage of time to search for missing people as soon as possible.
Expressing his emotions, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his deep condolences to the families of those who lost their loved ones, as well as to those who lost their homes and property; and encouraged the families to overcome this pain and loss.

Inquiring about funeral arrangements, difficulties, shortages, accommodation, food and clothing of the people, the Prime Minister affirmed that the Party, the State, Party committees at all levels, and the authorities are always there, caring, and mobilizing the whole society to stand side by side with the families to overcome this difficult time and soon stabilize their lives.
Working with ministries, branches, Lao Cai province and functional forces on rescue work in Lang Nu village, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent his deepest condolences to the people and relatives of those who died or went missing.
The Prime Minister requested the military, police, medical and other forces to coordinate with local authorities to mobilize more forces and means to continue searching for missing people; treating the injured; and arranging funerals for the deceased.
At the same time, mobilize the entire political system, the Fatherland Front, and organizations to join hands to share and encourage families with deceased or missing relatives; support accommodation, food, drinking water, and clothing for those who have lost their homes and property.
The Prime Minister requested relevant ministries and branches, according to their functions and tasks, to support and coordinate with Lao Cai province to organize environmental sanitation, disease prevention and control; restore traffic, in the spirit of "The Central Government takes care of National Highways, the Province takes care of Provincial Roads, the District takes care of District Roads, the Commune takes care of Village and Commune Roads"; urgently restore schools and welcome students back to school.
In particular, the Prime Minister requested Lao Cai province to study planning, arrange land funds, and support housing for people. This work for people who lost their homes in Lang Nu village must be completed before December 31, 2024; at the same time, take care of jobs, livelihoods, and arrange production land so that people can soon stabilize their lives./.
