Regarding the fact that many schools in Lang Chanh district (Thanh Hoa province) have temporarily suspended some subjects due to a lack of teachers, local authorities have arranged and mobilized teachers to teach inter-school.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Son - Head of the Department of Education and Training of Lang Chanh district said that regarding the fact that some schools had to temporarily suspend classes due to lack of teachers, the district People's Committee has mobilized teachers to teach inter-school and increase the number of hours to ensure that 100% of students can study according to regulations.
Mr. Son said: "The reason why some specific subjects have not been taught is because in the 2024-2025 school year, the whole district is still short of 92 positions compared to the number assigned by the province. The contract according to Decree 111 of the Provincial Government assigns the district 58 targets but has not yet recruited enough, due to lack of resources."
Previously, as VietNamNet reported, since the beginning of the school year, many schools in mountainous districts of Thanh Hoa have not been able to arrange teaching of English, Information Technology, and Music due to lack of teachers.
For example, in Lang Chanh district, at least 5 schools have temporarily suspended teaching IT and English.
After receiving the feedback, Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung directed and assigned the Department of Education and Training to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to inspect and verify to have a solution to ensure compliance with legal regulations and in accordance with the current practical situation.
