These days, the working atmosphere at the fishing ports and large fishing ports in Ha Tinh is always bustling with trading activities. Groups of ships and boats return one after another with holds full of fresh fish, shrimp, squid... signaling a successful trip. On shore, right after the goods are unloaded, many fishermen rush to refuel, load ice, and check their fishing gear to be ready for a new trip, not missing the "golden time" of the sea season.
At Con Go fishing port, fisherman Nguyen Van Hung (Thien Cam commune) excitedly said: "After a night of active fishing, my boat caught nearly 100 kg of seafood, mainly crabs, snails and various types of fish. After the goods were purchased by traders right at the port and we "pocketed" more than 4 million VND, we took the opportunity to maintain the machinery and fishing gear, ready for the next trip to sea."

Fishermen actively going offshore have created an abundant supply of seafood for the market, especially during the peak tourist season. Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhan - a trader in Thien Cam commune shared: "The weather is favorable, the source of seafood is abundant, the quality is fresh and delicious, so purchasing power has increased sharply. Over the past week, on average, I have purchased about 8 million VND worth of goods each day to supply to regular customers, the seafood is fresh and delicious so it is easy to consume. This situation helps both fishermen and traders have a good income."

According to the leaders of Thien Cam commune, in recent days, thanks to favorable weather, nearly 200 boats and ships of the commune have taken advantage of going offshore, bringing in tons of seafood of all kinds every day. This not only helps fishermen stabilize their lives but also contributes positively to the economic development of the commune. The locality is actively creating the best conditions for people to feel secure at sea, improve exploitation efficiency and protect sustainable aquatic resources.

Not only at Con Go fishing port, other coastal areas of Ha Tinh are also bustling with ships and boats docking, bustling with trade. At Cua Sot fishing port (Loc Ha commune), the buying and selling scene has been bustling since early morning. Ships and boats dock one after another, their holds filled with seafood. Fishermen quickly collect, classify and bring them ashore, where traders are already waiting to buy.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tinh (Loc Ha commune) said: "The sea has been calm these days, the wind is light, the fish are thick, so we are taking advantage of going out to sea. Like the last trip, my boat caught more than 300 kg of mackerel, sold right at the port at a fairly high price. After deducting expenses, each worker on the boat received 3-4 million VND. There were trips with large fish, the yield was even higher, thanks to that, income increased compared to last month".

"For over a week now, my boat has been continuously catching large fish, mainly mackerel and clams... Thanks to that, each trip brings in a good income. After deducting all fuel and ice costs, my boat makes a profit of about 4 million VND. This income is not only enough to take care of my family's life but also to save up to repair and upgrade fishing gear" - fisherman Nguyen Dinh Dung (Loc Ha commune) shared.
According to the Management Board of Fishing Ports and Fishing Boat Storm Shelters in Ha Tinh, from the beginning of August until now, Cua Sot fishing port has welcomed nearly 1,000 ships, bringing in more than 30 tons of various types of fish, 3 tons of squid and about 2 tons of other seafood.

"The output of seafood caught in the past few days has been very positive, increasing significantly compared to last month. This is a remarkable achievement for the fishermen's tireless efforts to stay at sea. We will strengthen management, ensure safety for fishermen on each trip, and help them confidently go out to sea for long periods of time" - Mr. Than Quoc Te, Deputy Director of the Management Board of Fishing Ports and Storm Shelters for Fishing Vessels in Ha Tinh said.
Thanks to favorable weather conditions, Ha Tinh fishermen have been taking full advantage of the "golden time" to go to sea, bringing back boat holds full of seafood, making an important contribution to the development of the local marine economy.
