On the afternoon of August 20, information from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting (Department of Hydro-Meteorology, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ) said that on the occasion of the upcoming National Day holiday on September 2, the weather forecast in areas across the country is generally sunny during the day, with the possibility of thunderstorms in the evening and at night.
Specifically, the national hydro-meteorological agency forecasts that during the main period of the holiday, from September 1-5, the Northern and Central regions will have sunny weather during the day with a low probability of rain; thunderstorms are likely to occur in the evening and at night.
The Central Highlands and the South are also forecast to have mostly sunny days, with a high possibility of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
In the immediate future, from now until August 31, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that from the night of August 21-23, there is a high possibility of rain in the Northern region (concentrated at night and morning), with some mountainous areas having heavy to very heavy rain.
From August 24-25, rain is forecast to decrease; the highest temperature during the day in the Northern region is commonly between 31-34 degrees Celsius.
After August 26, thunderstorms will increase again over a wide area (beware of the possibility of widespread moderate to heavy rain). The highest temperature will be from 30-33 degrees Celsius.
In the Central region, from August 21 to 23, the weather will be mostly sunny, with some places having hot sun, and in the evening there will be showers and thunderstorms in some places. The highest temperature during the day in this region will generally be between 33-35 degrees Celsius, with some places above 35 degrees Celsius.
From August 24 to 31, the Central region is likely to experience widespread thunderstorms again. Particularly in the area from Thanh Hoa to Hue, from August 26 onwards, be on guard for the possibility of widespread moderate to heavy rain.
The highest temperature of the day in the Central region is commonly from 31-34 degrees Celsius.
For the Central Highlands and the South, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that from August 21 to August 31, there will be thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening on many days. The highest temperature during the day in the Central Highlands is generally from 28-31 degrees Celsius; in the South, it is generally from 31-34 degrees Celsius.
The Hydrometeorological Agency also noted that currently (August 20), in the Northwest Pacific region, there are strong disturbances that can develop into tropical depressions and storms; then they are likely to move into the East Sea, affecting the weather in the Northern and Central regions after August 25.
