Lenguyen's Poetry: Fatherland in the Heart

(GLO)- The poem “Fatherland in the Heart” by author Lenguyen is a profound gratitude to our ancestors who sacrificed for national independence. From Cuu Long to Truong Son, from Dien Bien to Saigon, an indomitable Vietnam rises amid blood and flowers, shining with the national flag.

We stand here under the national flag

April wind is brilliant with flying flags

The blood of our ancestors has kept every inch of land

Weaving the red flag in the dawn

From the Mekong Delta, the mother's heart surges

To Truong Son burning with father's footprints

From Dien Bien, Saigon echoed with shock

An indomitable Vietnam. Blood and flowers.

Mother Earth, the footprints of the pioneer

Still deeply imprinted through the long months and years

There are soldiers who have turned into mountains and rivers.

Determined to make the country bloom

Bright red flag, bright yellow star

Million hearts sing a song of triumph

My sacred homeland independence day

Oh Vietnam! The marching song echoes forever.
