In particular, the office laptop segment (10-15 million VND) still receives the most attention from users thanks to its accessible price.
In addition, the mid-range segment with gaming and graphics laptops (18-22 million VND) also has high sales due to the shopping demand from users working in graphics, students in technology, design, and engineering.

“When choosing to buy a new laptop, suitable configuration is one of the top concerns. In addition, users also pay attention to other issues such as battery life or thin, light design, easy to carry when traveling.
In recent years, AI laptops have become increasingly popular. AI features that support learning and work such as automatic note-taking, content summarization, noise reduction, facial recognition, and performance optimization are also of interest to customers," said Mr. Nguyen Lac Huy, communications representative of the CellphoneS system.

Mr. Peter Chang, General Director of Asus Asia- Pacific region, said that the growth potential of AI PC in Vietnam is huge (Photo: Quynh Anh).
The AI PC market has grown rapidly over the past year, and this trend is spreading in Vietnam.
Currently, AI PCs are classified by the company into 3 main groups, including everyday AI PC, next-generation AI PC and advanced AI.
“If we include these three groups, AI PCs currently account for about 20-30% of the total computer market in Vietnam. Some of Vietnam’s neighboring countries in the Southeast Asian region have surpassed the 50% mark. Although Vietnam’s current market share is modest, the growth potential is huge.
Vietnamese consumers, especially the younger generation, are very responsive to technology and are ready to adopt new features such as AI, creating favorable conditions for expanding the AI PC market share in the future," said Mr. Peter Chang, General Director of Asus Asia-Pacific region.
Meanwhile, Mr. Eric Lee, Director of Southeast Asia of Asus, said that last year when the first Copilot+ PC was launched, the market share of this product line in the consumer segment in Vietnam was only less than 1%. To date, this number has increased to about 4-5%.
According to him, the overall demand in the Vietnamese market remains stable. The growth mainly comes from the AI PC segment. In terms of selling price and accessibility to the mass market, the price gap between AI PCs and regular laptops is gradually narrowing.
Like many new technologies, the first generation of AI PCs is usually more expensive. As subsequent generations are released, prices will gradually become more accessible. With support from CPU vendors like Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm, prices will continue to fall, experts say.
In fact, the price of AI laptops is gradually becoming more accessible. In 2024, most AI PCs sold in the Vietnamese market were priced at 30-40 million VND. Up to now, users have had many different options when wanting to buy AI PCs in the 18-20 million VND segment.
“AI is becoming a powerful assistant for learning and creativity, helping to promote the need to upgrade technology devices among students. During the Back to School 2025 season, the system also launched many incentives focusing on AI-integrated devices and effective learning support services,” said a representative ofFPT Shop.
