On the morning of June 26, nearly 100,000 candidates in Ho Chi Minh City were present at 171 examination sites. The first subject they took was literature, with a duration of 120 minutes.
At the Nguyen Tri Phuong Secondary School (District 10) exam site, before 6am, candidates and their parents had arrived at the exam site. Some candidates took the opportunity to have breakfast and review their lessons before "G hour".
Tram Anh, a student at Dien Hong Secondary and High School, excitedly said that she was very well prepared, especially for the literature exam. "My mother accompanied me in every important exam, so I felt more confident and secure in doing the test," Tram Anh said.
Taking the opportunity to take a souvenir photo with her daughter before entering the exam room, Ms. Phan Thi Anh Dao (Thu Duc City) said that she was more nervous than her daughter when she took the exam. Her daughter plans to take the university entrance exam for business administration or programming. "This is not the first time I have taken my daughter to the exam, but I am so nervous that I couldn't sleep last night. Today, I am on "summer vacation", I will not go to work but will wait for my daughter outside the exam site" - Ms. Dao shared.
The whole family also took the candidate to the exam site to give him more motivation.
Taking his daughter to the exam site, Mr. Trung Cuong (in District 11) encouraged his daughter Khanh Uyen with a tight hug.
Many parents took time off work to accompany their children during the 2 days of exams.
The "melting" moment of mother and child
Parents rushed to the exam site because the candidate forgot his/her ID card.
Teachers are on duty in front of the exam site to take attendance and promptly contact families if candidates are late.
In addition to parents, the exam support force also plays a very important role in helping candidates have a more optimistic and confident spirit.
Nguyen Gia Lam is a special candidate in Ho Chi Minh City. Lam lost all four limbs at the age of 2 and was granted special permission to graduate, but he was determined to take the exam and write his own essays to get the scores he needed to enter university.
Although the literature exam lasts 120 minutes, many parents still wait for their children in front of the exam site. This afternoon, candidates will take the math exam, which lasts 90 minutes.
According to the report of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, the 2025 high school graduation exam in the city has 99,578 candidates registered to attend, an increase of 8,891 students compared to last year. Of which, 97,940 candidates took the exam under the 2018 General Education Program and 1,638 candidates took the exam under the 2006 General Education Program.
