New students come to complete admission procedures for 2025 this morning (August 24)

On August 24, the whole family of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Dam took a bus to take her daughter, a new student in food technology, to school to complete the admission procedures. While proud and happy, Mrs. Dam also had many worries, especially the fact that her daughter had to leave her family and become independent.

"When I heard that my child passed the university entrance exam, I was very happy. The family arranged to bring my child to school early to enroll, the main purpose was to register for a dormitory for my child. If I arrived late to school and there was no more dormitory space, I would have to rent a room outside, I would not feel secure" - Mrs. Dam expressed.

While waiting for his daughter to register for the dormitory, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu (in Dong Nai ) took the opportunity to visit around the school.

"I was very surprised to see that the school was so big, with lots of trees and good facilities. The admission process was very quick and easy. As my daughter is the first to study away from home, I want her to stay in the school dormitory to ensure security. Next year, if she wants to move out, it's up to her to decide," said Mr. Vu.

If you do not want to stay in the dormitory, new students can refer to the rental rooms near the school. These are rental rooms that have been surveyed by the school in advance, ensuring safety in terms of security, order, and fire prevention for new students.

Despite the digital transformation, the dormitory registration area still has a lot of new students and parents waiting.

Master Pham Thai Son, Director of the Admissions and Communications Center - Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, said that in the morning alone, more than 600 students completed the admission procedures at the school. This year, the school has recruited more than 8,000 students. Although the number of students is large, the school yard is quieter and more airy than in previous years.

MSc. Son explained that the school sent admission notices to new students at noon on August 23 (Saturday), so many new students could not have their documents notarized in time to submit today. In addition, today is the weekend, so the school is also less crowded with students, making the atmosphere more open.

In particular, the new point in this school year is the implementation of digital transformation from online admission to online registration for dormitories and accommodation. New students save time by registering at home, without having to wait in line for hours like in previous years.

"Despite promoting digital transformation, the role of volunteers is still extremely important. This year, the number of volunteers has been kept stable but the quality has been significantly improved thanks to systematic training. They are equipped with professional consulting skills, from supporting admission, finding accommodation to visiting the school" - MSc. Son added.
