The Director of the Department of Quality Management noted some new points in this year's exam such as: regulations on certificates to be exempted from foreign language exams and to be counted as 10 points in considering recognition of high school graduation.
This list of foreign language certificates includes some new certificates. Candidates should pay special attention that foreign language certificates must be valid until June 26, 2024.
Emphasizing the work of exam inspection, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong said that every mistake that occurs will cause huge consequences for the purpose, requirements, and quality of the exam. Therefore, the Ministry's direction must be extremely serious, not negligent or subjective.
He said that this year, the Prime Minister issued instructions on exam management and organization very early.
The Deputy Minister pointed out 5 groups of issues that are particularly important: Leadership and direction; support work because the exam takes place on a national scale, with a large number of candidates and the participation of many ministries, branches and localities; preparation work; organization and implementation.
In which, preparation accounts for 80% of success; organization and implementation account for 20%. Therefore, preparation must be thorough, and implementation must be in accordance with regulations.

The 2024 high school graduation exam will take place on June 26-28. Candidates will complete the exam registration procedures on June 26 and take the literature and math exams on June 27. On the last day, candidates will take a foreign language exam and one of two combined exams: natural sciences or social sciences.
