Accordingly, candidate Nguyen Minh Anh, a student at Tran Quang Khai Secondary School (Tan Phu District), is the candidate with the highest grade 10 exam score in this year's grade 10 entrance exam. This candidate scored 10 in math, 10 in foreign language and 8.75 in literature.

Candidate Nguyen Le Uyen Nhi, a student at Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School (Thu Duc City) was the runner-up in the 10th grade exam with a score of 10 in math, 10 in foreign language and 8.5 in literature.

At the same time, candidates Ho Nguyen Phuong Nhi, a student at Saigon Practicing High School, and Vo Phuong Thuy Trang, a student at Dong Khoi Secondary School (Tan Phu District), were both runners-up in the 10th grade exam with a score of 28.5.

Leading the candidates in the specialized class is Phan Hoang Kim Phuc, a student at Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted, with a score of 10 in math and English; 7.75 in literature; 9.75 in specialized subjects. The total score for admission to the specialized class is 47.25 (specialized subjects multiplied by a coefficient of 2).

Data from the 10th grade exam scores shows that 49 candidates scored 10 points in math; 31 candidates scored 9.75 points. In addition, 132 candidates scored 9.5 points; 123 candidates scored 9.25 points. The number of candidates scoring 8 to 9 points is quite large, about 2,000 candidates.

Besides, according to statistics from the test of 98,400 candidates, the score most candidates achieved in math was 5, with more than 7,000 candidates.

In the English subject in this year's 10th grade entrance exam, the number of candidates scoring 9 and 10 is quite high, the number of candidates scoring below average is less than in previous years.

After the Department of Education and Training announces the exam scores, from June 21 to 24, candidates can submit their appeal applications to the secondary school where they studied in grade 9. All candidates have the right to have their exam scores appealed.

The benchmark scores for specialized and integrated 10th grade will be announced on June 24. Successful candidates will submit their admission applications to the schools they have been admitted to from June 25 to 4 p.m. on June 29. Candidates who do not submit their admission applications will have their names removed from the list of successful candidates.

On June 30, the Department of Education and Training announced the results of the re-examination and from July 2 to 4, approved the additional list of admitted candidates after the re-examination.

On July 5, schools will organize to receive additional admissions to specialized and integrated classes after re-examination if any.

On July 10, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training will hold a meeting with the 10th grade exam steering committee of districts, Thu Duc City and principals of high schools to agree on the standard scores for regular 10th grade. The following day, the standard scores and list of candidates admitted to 10th grade for the 2024-2025 school year will be announced.
