On the morning of June 11, a conference to commend and honor typical advanced models nationwide to celebrate the 75th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's call for patriotic emulation (June 11, 1948 - June 11, 2023) was solemnly held in Hanoi. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the Central Council for Emulation and Rewards attended and delivered a speech.

Attending the conference were delegates who were collectives and individuals of Labor Heroes, People's Armed Forces Heroes of all periods, national emulation fighters, and typical examples in the patriotic emulation movement from 2021 to present.

Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated and commended the advanced models, highly appreciating the results that the patriotic emulation movement and emulation and reward work have achieved in recent times.

The Prime Minister said that 75 years ago, on June 11, 1948, President Ho Chi Minh issued the Call for Patriotic Emulation, officially launching the patriotic emulation movement throughout the Party, people and army.

Uncle Ho's appeal was like a call to arms for the country, encouraging, inspiring, motivating and motivating our entire Party, people and army to promote the tradition of patriotism, solidarity, self-reliance and self-strengthening, overcome all difficulties and hardships, have many initiatives and improvements in labor, production and combat, making practical contributions to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Since then, patriotic emulation has truly become a widespread movement from the lowlands to the mountains, borders, and islands; from urban to rural areas with the active participation of the people, from the elderly to the children, and has achieved great results. This is an important driving force for the Vietnamese revolution to go from one victory to another.

The Prime Minister reviewed the movements in the resistance war for national construction: "Three readiness", "Three responsibilities", "Five volunteers", "Coastal waves", "Great wind", "Bac Ly drum", "Thousand good deeds"... which have inspired the feelings, determination and practical actions of every Vietnamese citizen.

The Prime Minister assessed that in recent years, emulation movements have flourished and diversified in all fields, associated with all classes of people, attracting and spreading strongly in society. Many topics, initiatives, useful solutions, good models, and effective methods have been widely replicated, bringing great benefits to the State and society.

From the emulation movement, many typical, advanced examples have emerged in various fields. Up to now, there have been hundreds of thousands of typical examples in all regions of the country.

"We always respect, acknowledge and commend the silent examples of dedication to science and the cause of educating people; teachers who dedicate their youth to the children of ethnic minorities in remote areas, border areas and islands; soldiers on remote islands; police officers who are ready to face danger to bring a peaceful life to the people; teachers and doctors wearing green uniforms on the border; environmental sanitation workers who work silently day and night; people who diligently plant trees and reforest, and many individuals whose names have not yet been announced...", the Prime Minister shared.

In particular, in the face of countless difficulties and challenges caused by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, we cannot forget the images of the "white-shirt heroes", the soldiers and police on the front lines; the volunteers and religious people who are ready to face danger for the health and lives of the community, wholeheartedly serving the Fatherland and the People.

Don't be complacent or satisfied with your achievements.

The Prime Minister stated that the 700 typical and advanced delegates attending the conference today are the beautiful flowers in the garden of the patriotic emulation movement.

The advanced models, regardless of age, position, or profession, all shine with patriotism, dynamism, creativity, daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility for the common good, for the benefit of the nation and compatriots; representing the will, determination, aspiration to rise up, and to contribute to the community and society.

The Prime Minister expressed his belief that there are many other silent examples who are day and night contributing their efforts, intelligence, and resources to the country in all fields and among all classes of people.

To further improve the call for patriotic emulation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested that all levels and sectors continue to thoroughly grasp and deeply imbue the spirit of "the more difficult it is, the more we must compete"...

The Central Emulation and Reward Council, the Fatherland Front, ministries, branches, localities and organizations need to continue to launch and organize patriotic emulation movements with focus and key points, associated with solving political tasks of agencies, localities, units and localities.

The Prime Minister said that it is necessary to promote decentralization and delegation of power associated with resource allocation, promote the responsibility of leaders, improve the capacity of implementing officials; ensure substance, practicality, efficiency, and focus on the grassroots; strengthen inspection, supervision, and control of power; avoid formalities, ostentation, and negativity, and take advantage of emulation and rewards for personal purposes and group interests.

The Head of Government noted that there should be appropriate forms to motivate and encourage cadres, party members and people to actively participate in major campaigns.

For advanced models, the Prime Minister noted that they must not be subjective or satisfied, but must always maintain their spirit and enthusiasm, continue to try, strive, constantly improve, and contribute more to the community and society.

The Prime Minister shared: "This responsibility rests on you and each of us, because to achieve success and honor is difficult, but to maintain the title and love is much more difficult. Each advanced model is a shining flower, exuding fragrance in spirit, morality, sense of responsibility and dedication, and wholehearted dedication."

The Prime Minister further affirmed that every good deed and every noble gesture will contribute practically to building a good moral foundation, making life and society better and happier.
