BTO-On the morning of June 28, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee convened the 27th Conference of the Provincial Party Executive Committee (term XIV) to evaluate the socio-economic situation, national defense and security, budget revenue and expenditure; Party building work, mass mobilization work in the first 6 months of the year and key tasks in the last 6 months of the year.
Comrades Nguyen Hoai Anh - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Doan Anh Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee co-chaired the conference. Also attending the conference were members of the Standing Committee, members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee; leaders of departments, branches and sectors of the province.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hoai Anh said that this conference will focus on discussing and assessing the socio-economic situation, national defense and security, budget revenue and expenditure; Party building work, mass mobilization work in the first 6 months of the year and key tasks in the last 6 months of 2024. Approving the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee on leading the implementation of the Binh Thuan Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050. Approving the Action Program of the Provincial Party Committee (term XIV) on implementing Resolution No. 44-NQ/TW, dated November 24, 2023 of the 8th Conference of the Central Party Committee on the strategy of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation. At the same time, it will give opinions on the draft Decision of the Provincial Party Committee on the establishment of the Standing Committee of the Document Subcommittee of the 15th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030. Approve the draft Summary Report on the implementation of the Party Election Regulations issued together with Decision No. 244-QD/TW, dated June 9, 2014 of the Party Central Committee (term XI). In addition, the conference will hear a report on the change in the implementation area of the Ham Tien - Mui Ne Commercial - Service - Tourism Urban Area Project.
Regarding the assessment of the socio-economic situation, national defense and security, budget revenue and expenditure; Party building work, and mass mobilization work in the first 6 months of the year, the Provincial Party Secretary requested delegates to focus on analyzing and discussing factors affecting growth rates, clearly identifying a number of key tasks, in order to achieve the target of GRDP growth in 2024 from 8% - 8.5%. In addition, analyze the problems surrounding land price determination, resettlement compensation, valuation, and appraisal of assets in criminal proceedings. In agricultural development, the Secretary also proposed to discuss the results of the Provincial Party Committee's Resolution on developing modern, high-value-added agriculture, focusing on promoting and linking agricultural products for farmers according to the value chain...
In addition, delegates need to analyze solutions to promote summer tourism in 2024, major holidays in the last 6 months of the year, and attract tourists to stay longer. Regarding budget collection, the Provincial Party Secretary asked delegates to analyze solutions to increase budget collection, especially revenue from land use fees. Regarding administrative reform, it is necessary to focus on implementing solutions to contribute to improving indicators. Regarding the situation of some cadres, civil servants, and public employees working evasively, half-heartedly, and shirking responsibility, analyze to find appropriate solutions...
It is known that in the first 6 months of 2024, the gross domestic product (GRDP) increased by 7.1% over the same period, ranking 21st out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide and 6th out of 14 provinces and cities in the North Central and Central Coast regions. The industrial production index (IIP) increased by 12.99%, the industrial production value increased by 9.61%. In addition, tourism activities continued to develop, welcoming 4.59 million visitors (up 5.01% over the same period); export turnover reached 423.9 million USD (up 4.78% over the same period).
