At the place visited, Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of An Giang province Danh Phuc quickly informed about the meaning and purpose of the administrative unit merger. After the merger, An Giang province has a large area and population, is a multi-ethnic and multi-religious province. This is considered one of the internal forces to help the province develop in the coming time.

In the first 6 months of 2025, the province's economic situation continued to grow, people's lives were constantly improved; in particular, the province completed the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses. Cultural, artistic and religious activities received attention and created favorable conditions for all levels and sectors. Security, order and social safety were basically guaranteed.
