Nhon - Cau Giay Metro suddenly stopped due to technical problems.

After receiving the information, the Hanoi Traffic Management and Operation Center coordinated with Hanoi Metro to notify passengers on loudspeakers to use the bus.

Then, the number of office workers and students of the University of Transport arriving after school caused the bus to be overloaded.

At the station, in addition to making announcements on loudspeakers, metro staff also refunded tickets to passengers who had just purchased tickets but had not used them. By around 6 p.m. the same day, the problem was resolved and the train was operating normally again.

This is the first time the Nhon - Cau Giay metro line has recorded an incident since it opened for commercial operation.

Previously, according to Giao Thong Newspaper, the Cat Linh - Ha Dong urban railway line also had 4 sudden stops on the road.

The most recent incident was around 7pm (September 17), when a train was running from Cat Linh to Ha Dong, when it arrived at Phung Khoang station, Ha Dong district, it suddenly stopped. According to the route, the train had to pass through 5 stations: Van Quan station, Ha Dong station, La Khe station, Van Khe station and stop at the final station Yen Nghia.

The train suddenly stopped operating for about 1 hour, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:50 p.m. due to a technical error (an axle counting error at Yen Nghia station).

At around 10:00 a.m. on February 11, 2023, a train of the Cat Linh - Ha Dong railway line suddenly stopped in Thanh Xuan district while moving towards the inner city due to a technical error.

On May 23, 2022, while operating, a Cat Linh - Ha Dong train stopped in the middle of the track. At that time, Hanoi Metro said that due to rain and slippery rails, the automatic steering system switched to manual steering.

On the evening of December 7, 2021, the Cat Linh - Ha Dong train practiced for the first time responding to a signal error occurring at the Cat Linh station signal shaft counter. At that time, there were about 40 passengers on the train. Cat Linh station had to close for more than 30 minutes to fix the problem, while many passengers were "scared".

Urban railway project No. 3, Nhon - Hanoi station section is 12.5km long, with 8 elevated stations and 4 underground stations. Of which, the elevated section Nhon - Cau Giay is 8.5km long, the underground section Cau Giay - Hanoi station is 4km long.

The project started in 2009 and was scheduled to be completed in 2015, but the schedule was delayed many times and is expected to be completed in 2027.

When put into operation, the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station elevated metro section will operate with a frequency of 16 trips/hour in both directions during peak hours of the day, reaching a maximum of 7,552 passengers/hour/direction.

The elevated metro line has a route that goes straight into the center of the capital, passing through densely populated residential areas with high construction density, many high-rise buildings, offices, and many schools and universities.
