On July 5, Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai chaired a conference with Party Central Committees on the situation and results of work in the first 6 months of the year and key tasks for the last 6 months of the year.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Truong Thi Mai emphasized that this was the first meeting with the Party Executive Committees at the Central level, a new way of doing things.

The Standing Secretariat assessed that in the first 6 months of the year, the Party Central Committees have been active, proactive, and creative in closely following the resolutions, directives, and conclusions of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat, concretizing them into the leadership and direction of their agencies and units, and achieving many important results.

The Standing Secretariat also noted that the operations of the financial and monetary markets, real estate markets, securities, and corporate bonds are still difficult; local power shortages affect people's lives and production and business. In addition, there is a shortage of medicine and medical equipment in some public hospitals. The spirit and responsibility of some officials and civil servants are not high, there is still a situation of avoidance and reluctance by officials and civil servants; the situation of shifting responsibility between some agencies causes difficulties for people and businesses.

The Standing Secretariat emphasized that the tasks for the last 6 months of the year are very heavy, requiring Party Committees to focus highly on leading and directing central ministries and branches to overcome difficulties, successfully complete political tasks in 2023, and at the same time do a good job of Party building and preventing and combating corruption and negativity.
