On the morning of August 12, the Department of Education and Training of Gia Lai province coordinated with Quy Nhon University to open a training program on STEM education (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).
The event attracted more than 1,600 teachers to participate. Of these, 630 were primary school teachers, 630 were secondary school teachers, and 340 were high school teachers. The program combined 3 days of online learning and 3 days of face-to-face learning.

The training program aims to help teachers raise awareness of the role and significance of STEM education; train their capacity to design, organize and evaluate teaching activities in the direction of developing students' capacity and qualities of the 2018 General Education Program.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Doan Duc Tung, Principal of Quy Nhon University, emphasized that STEM education is not only a global trend but also an essential requirement of modern education, helping learners develop creative thinking, problem-solving skills and connecting knowledge with practice.
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Doan Duc Tung, teachers will approach both general orientation and specific lesson content for each level: primary, secondary, and high school.

To prepare for the program, Quy Nhon University mobilized more than 50 members from the steering committee, program development committee, including experienced lecturers of the school and experts from many units such as Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences, Hanoi National University of Education, High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences (Hanoi National University), Sakura -Olympia School System, Dong A University...
