Tan Ky strives to eliminate temporary housing

In the newly completed house in recent days, Ms. Dam Thi Huong, Quyet Thang village, Tan Ky commune shared: My family is in the difficult locality and was approved by the commune People's Committee to remove the temporary house. The family also borrowed more money to build a house worth more than 200 million VND. Thanks to proactively implementing the construction when the weather was favorable, after about 2 months the house was completed, the family is no longer afraid of heavy rains and strong winds like when living in the old house.

These days, Mr. Nong Van Trong's family in Ban Pho village, Tan Ky commune is also busy supporting construction workers to complete the stages of building the house walls, striving to put it into use in early August.

According to Mr. Trong, his family is in a difficult situation in the locality, living in a small, makeshift wooden house that has been built for many years. The local government approved the list of temporary houses to be removed, and the family actively cooperated. At the same time, they borrowed nearly 100 million VND to build a new house.

According to the leader of Tan Ky commune, in the process of implementing the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses, the locality also encountered some difficulties, such as: The households on the list of households supported to remove temporary and dilapidated houses are all economically disadvantaged, are ethnic minorities, live in remote areas, and attach importance to the date and age of house construction... However, with the participation of the entire political system, up to now, the progress of house construction has been ensured according to plan.

Mr. Hoang Van Luan, Deputy Head of the Economic Department, Tan Ky Commune informed: In the commune, there are nearly 200 households subject to the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses. Up to now, more than 50 households have been completed, more than 100 households are under construction, and more than 30 newly registered households will be built with prefabricated houses and built houses, expected to start construction next week.

The Economic Department continues to advise the Party Committee and the government to concentrate on supporting resources and materials from local agencies and organizations to strive that by August 15, 2025, Tan Ky will complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses.

With the motto "No one is left behind", in recent times, Thai Nguyen province has been making efforts to synchronously implement many solutions to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households and households in difficult circumstances.
