The Tra Vong Quan Lon Festival (Tay Ninh province) was included in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage in Decision No. 2975 /QD-BVHTTDL dated August 26, 2019. In Tay Ninh province, there are 14 places to worship Tra Vong Quan Lon in Tan Bien, Chau Thanh, Ben Cau districts and Tay Ninh city.

After the opening ceremony, the leaders of Tra Vong Commune People's Committee and the Head of the Management Board of the historical relic of Tra Vong Mandarin Tomb organized the 26th Tra Vong Mandarin Ky Yen ceremony, including the ceremony of requesting the royal seal and royal decree from Tra Vong Mandarin Tomb to Tra Vong Mandarin Memorial House to perform the ceremony.

The Tra Vong mandarin named Huynh Cong Gian (1722-1782) was one of the first generals sent by the Hue court to Tay Ninh to gather people to establish villages and protect the land. When arriving in Tay Ninh, Huynh Cong Gian and his two younger brothers Huynh Cong Thang and Huynh Cong Nghe gathered and trained the people to fight foreign invaders.

Arriving at Tra Vong, Huynh Cong Gian established three hamlets, Tan Lap, Tan Hoi and Tan Hiep, and organized and trained troops to guard the area.

With his steadfast and heroic spirit in fighting against foreign invaders, he achieved many glorious feats. In 1782, in a fierce battle at Tra Vong citadel, surrounded by enemy troops, he and his soldiers fought until their last breath.

To commemorate the merits of the three Huynh brothers and the soldiers, local people built temples and shrines to worship them in many places and they are commonly called the Tra Vong Temple.

Every year, the Ky Yen Quan Lon Tra Vong festival is held on the 15th and 16th of the third lunar month, with hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over coming here to commemorate and pay tribute to the Great God who fought the enemy and kept the country safe; at the same time, praying for favorable weather, peace and prosperity for the country.
