Temporarily stop receiving visitors at some relic sites in Hanoi's Old Quarter for restoration and embellishment

The Management Board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter has just announced the temporary suspension of visitors to a number of historical sites in the area to restore, embellish and prevent deterioration of the structures.

Specifically, Quan De Temple (28 Hang Buom) will temporarily close until February 1, 2026. The Hanoi Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center (50 Dao Duy Tu) and the Heritage House at 87 Ma May will stop receiving visitors from early July and are expected to reopen on November 21, 2025 and April 26, 2026, respectively.

The Management Board representative said that the restoration aims to ensure the safety of visitors, while preserving the historical and cultural values ​​of typical relics in the Old Quarter, which is an urban area of ​​special value in the Capital. The items will be carried out in accordance with the relic conservation process, strictly complying with the provisions of the Law on Cultural Heritage, under the supervision of specialized agencies.

During this time, visitors can visit other relic sites in the area such as Bach Ma Temple, Kim Ngan Communal House, Huong Tuong Temple... to continue exploring the unique cultural space of Hanoi with its thousand years of civilization.
