WATCH CLIP:
On January 22, the Traffic Police Team of Vinh City Police (Nghe An) transferred the case file to the investigation agency regarding the case of a driver driving a car into a traffic police officer at an alcohol concentration checkpoint.
Previously, a 24-second video clip recorded the incident that occurred at 8:00 p.m. on January 21, on Tran Phu Street, Vinh City.
When the working group signaled to stop the red car with license plate number 37K-270.92 heading towards Vinh market, they asked the driver to pull over to the side of the road for inspection, but the driver did not comply.
Seeing the driver resisting turning the car around, many traffic police officers signaled for the driver to stop, but the driver continued to drive in the opposite direction. At this point, other vehicles on the road had to move aside to avoid the car.
Not long after that, the Vinh City Traffic Police arrested the driver. The driver’s identity has not been released.
The incident is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
