Previously, implementing the direction of the Prime Minister, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee coordinated with Vietnam Television to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Lang Nu resettlement area. The construction unit - Army Corps 12, deployed urgently with a high sense of responsibility, exceeding the expected progress by 15 days compared to the initial completion date of December 31.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nhat, Vice Chairman of Bao Yen District People's Committee, said that to complete all the works and infrastructure, the Army force has worked closely with the government and people, from detailed planning to construction of each item. This shows deep concern for every smallest detail, helping the people of Lang Nu have a spacious residential area, starting a new life.

The results after 68 days of construction are 40 Tay ethnic stilt houses with an area of ​​96m²/house; a community house with an area of ​​300m²; a school with 2 primary classes and 2 kindergarten classes. In addition, the entire traffic system, ground, vegetable garden, and roadside trees have also been completed, ensuring a stable life for the people.

Ms. Hoang Thi Bong, a resident of Lang Nu village, said: "Hearing the sound of construction machinery day and night, I understand the hard work of the soldiers. The day I received my new house, I was very happy and grateful for the help of the 12th Army Corps. It was a great gift that helped us confidently start over."

Visiting the resettlement area of ​​Lang Nu village, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien shared the pain and loss with the people. With the spirit of providing the “highest and fastest” support, performing the function of a “working army” and the task of “fighting in peacetime”, the Army has promoted its core and pioneering role on the front line, joining hands with the people to prevent, combat, and overcome the consequences of natural disasters, catastrophes, and search and rescue.
