On the morning of August 19, after the Opening Ceremony, Ngo Thanh Duc (Phillips Ngo) was the first golfer to start. His beautiful swing sent the ball into the middle of the fairway, officially starting the 2025 Gia Lai National Golf Championship.
The golfer born in 1988 shared: "I am quite nervous, excited and above all, very happy to be here today, then become the first person to serve the ball, starting the National Golf Championship - Gia Lai 2025. I came here to enjoy everything, from the beautiful golf course to the atmosphere of the national tournament".
Not long after, golfer Nguyen Minh Tri also had a perfect tee shot. Accompanying Minh Tri at the opening morning was his uncle. He was pleased with his first shots, revealing that Minh Tri had prepared very well for the tournament and was completely confident for the 4-day journey of the 2025 National Golf Championship. In addition, Minh Tri's owner also praised the professional and methodical organization of the tournament. Confidence was also seen in Nguyen Dang Minh, who had an excellent start with a score of -6 at the 2023 National Golf Championship. The golfer born in 2005 said that he has matured and improved after two years, ready to conquer the highest position in this year's tournament. Of course, Nguyen Dang Minh needs to overcome many big opponents, including Nguyen Nhat Long, the golfer who excelled in the 2023 race and won the championship after defeating Nguyen Anh Minh and Nguyen Dang Minh himself.
