For a week now, many officials, teachers, employees, parents and students across the province have been actively responding to the campaign to donate books and school supplies to support students in flood-hit areas, launched by the Department of Education and Training (DoET).

At Ly Tu Trong Secondary School (Ninh Binh city), the atmosphere of receiving and classifying books and school supplies took place very urgently. Teacher Vu Thi Thu Hang, Vice Principal of the school said: On the first day of launching, from the morning of September 14, many parents and students brought books and school supplies to support. On the first day alone, the school received 11,790 notebooks, 9,255 pens, 445 school bags and many school supplies...

Many parents are very enthusiastic and willing to spend time going to school with teachers and students to classify and arrange books and textbooks according to the correct sets of books for each grade and each publisher to ensure that when the books reach the students in the flood-affected areas, they will be able to use them immediately.

By the end of September 17, the whole school had received 16,379 notebooks, 3,022 primary and secondary school textbooks; 14,768 pens of various types; 100 pencil cases, 400 rulers, 655 backpacks, school bags and many other items.

Through the activity of donating books and supplies to support students in flood-affected areas, it is also one of the lessons to educate students about the spirit of "mutual love and support", guiding them to do good deeds and act responsibly for the community that Ly Tu Trong Secondary School desires.

Joining her classmates in sorting books, Dinh Thi Quynh Phuong, a student of grade 8I, shared: Right after the school launched the campaign, she and her classmates quickly responded, looking for old textbooks, school bags, and new notebooks to bring to the school to support. She hopes that when students in the flood area receive the hearts and feelings from the senders, they will have the conditions to return to school soon and make better efforts to study...

In Hoa Lu district, the earliest unit of the Ninh Binh Department of Education and Training completed the donation of books, notebooks, and school supplies to support students in flood-hit areas. On the morning of September 17, the first vehicle of the Hoa Lu District Department of Education and Training carrying books, notebooks, supplies, and necessities departed for Lao Cai province to promptly support the local Department of Education and Training to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3.

Participating in transporting books and supplies onto the bus to Lao Cai, teacher La Phuong Hang, a teacher at Ninh Giang Kindergarten, shared: Faced with the severe impact of the flood, as a teacher and a mother, I am very moved by the difficulties and hardships of families in the flood-affected areas, especially students who cannot go to school... Therefore, I, as well as many colleagues in the school, and parents of students in class 5-year-old B, actively responded to the donation of books and supplies to support students in the flood-affected areas.

The Ninh Giang Secondary School Multi-purpose Hall was chosen by the Department of Education and Training of Hoa Lu District as a place to collect books and supplies for sorting and packaging. Along with receiving donations from teachers, parents and students in the school, the school assigned groups to participate in sorting and packaging, ensuring that textbooks and supplies are arranged according to the correct type, book series, etc.

Teacher Nguyen Huu Du, Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Hoa Lu district, said: From the launch (September 12) to September 15, 33/33 primary and secondary schools, 16 private children's groups in the district donated 39,906 squared notebooks for primary school students; 4,631 pencils; 18,029 secondary school pens; 25,840 lined notebooks; 186 cartons of mineral water; 217 cartons of milk; 82 new school bags; 453 red flag shirts with yellow stars... along with many sets of clothes, textbooks, essential necessities, and various medicines with a total value of VND 872,882,000.

Due to early completion, on the morning of September 17, from Ninh Giang Secondary School, a vehicle carrying books, school supplies, and essential necessities from the Department of Education and Training of Hoa Lu district departed for Lao Cai province - one of the localities severely affected by floods to help students have more conditions to return to school soon and stabilize their lives.

Teacher Phan Thanh Cong, Director of the Department of Education and Training, said: Responding to the general launch of the whole country and Ninh Binh province, the Ninh Binh Department of Education and Training has mobilized cadres, teachers, workers and students to actively respond to this activity. In addition to supporting money according to the launch of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, the Ninh Binh Department of Education and Training also mobilized cadres, teachers and students to share the sentiment of "mutual love and affection", supporting books and supplies for students' learning.

In a very short time, the donation campaign has received a wide response from the entire industry. The supplies and products contributed by students, staff and teachers in the entire industry have been gradually distributed and supported to students in Ninh Binh province in difficult areas.

At the same time, the Department is gradually coordinating with the Department of Education and Training of the Northern mountainous provinces such as Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, etc. to transport as soon as possible the books and school supplies donated by Ninh Binh students to students in those flood-affected provinces. The Ninh Binh Department of Education and Training strives to have all donated books and school supplies delivered to the localities by September 21.
