On the morning of January 17, at Le Quy Don High School (District 3, Ho Chi Minh City), the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City organized the Final Round of the Contest on Propaganda, Education of Political Ideology, Ethics, Lifestyle, Culture and Dissemination of Legal Education for Students, Trainees and Students of the City in the 2023-2024 School Year.

Happy School Through the Eyes of Students

Opening the competition, Go Vap Secondary School (Go Vap District) brought to the photo contest a class lesson with the content of instructing students on how to use fire extinguishers.

With the message "Every student wants to be the best version of themselves", students show their love for skill training activities, extracurricular activities, and talent clubs at school.

Ngo Thoi Nhiem Secondary School brought to the contest the play "Tet Gift" with the content of expressing gratitude for the contributions of all members of the school, whether they are service staff or janitors.

In another way, Minh Duc Secondary School (District 1) brought the message "A happy school is where students find joy, respect and love" through a modern dance performance to vibrant music.

The musical performance of Tan Phu Secondary School (Tan Phu District) with the theme "Happy Meals" made the audience excited and emotional.

Since most of the school's students stay in boarding or semi-boarding schools, meals are an important part of their daily lives.

Therefore, the service team including caterers, nutritionists, and waiters are affectionately called "dad" and "mom" by the students. The daily stories during their meals become closer with the companionship of the school members.

"Our group wants to send a message to the students about gratitude to the staff at the school for not only providing quality meals to the students but also being companions and sharing life experiences with the students on the path to adulthood," Nguyen Quoc Viet, class 9/3, Tan Phu Primary - Secondary - High School shared.

As for Dao Son Tay High School (Thu Duc City), Mr. Nguyen Van Ngai, Vice Principal of the school, informed that the unit brought to the competition a model of "On-site First Aid Team" led by students. The reward for active participants is a letter of commendation from the Principal.

The activity aims to equip students with first aid skills on the spot, while also raising their awareness of responsibility and contribution to the school's general activities.

Comprehensive education of knowledge and skills for students

This year, the contest is organized in many diverse forms to create a useful playground for students, trainees, and students in the city. In which, group A is for students of secondary schools, group B is for students of high schools, vocational education centers - continuing education, continuing education centers in the area.

Mr. Duong Tri Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that the contest will be widely deployed to all schools in Ho Chi Minh City from June 2023. The popularity of the contest is reflected in the number of students participating in both inner-city and suburban areas.

"Through the contest entries, students are supplemented with knowledge, skills and qualities according to the goals of the 2018 General Education Program, aiming for a green, friendly and happy educational environment, contributing to the preparation for them to enter higher levels of education," said Mr. Duong Tri Dung.

Previously, in the online round, the whole city had 273,706 students participating in the contest. The organizing committee selected 20 junior high schools and 10 high schools, multi-level general schools to continue competing in the semi-finals.

In the semi-final round, the units made a short film (video clip) with the theme "The beauty of my school", showing one of the outstanding beauties of the unit in terms of behavioral culture, teacher-student relationship, friendship; safe and friendly green areas, environmental protection education activities; cultural and artistic activities, clubs, extracurricular activities in the school...

From the results of the semi-final round, the 10 units with the most outstanding achievements entered the final round with a dramatization or presentation on the topic "Happy School", thereby expressing their desire to build a happy environment.
