According to Dr. Nguyen Hoang Phuc, Deputy Director of the National Organ Transplant Coordination Center, thousands of seriously ill people are in need of kidney, liver, heart, and lung transplants.
The number of people registering to be organ donors has increased in recent years, with more than 86,000 people registering (17,000 in 2023 alone).
