Information from the Department of Business Registration (Ministry of Planning and Investment) said that in June 2023, 13,904 newly registered enterprises with registered capital of VND 138,746 billion, an increase of 4.8% in the number of enterprises and an increase of 14.6% in registered capital compared to the same period in 2022.
Also in June, 7,098 businesses returned to operation, the highest level in the first 6 months of the year, up 215% over the same period in 2022.
On the contrary, the whole country had 12,333 enterprises withdrawing from the market in June, an increase of 3.1% over the same period in 2022.
According to the Department of Business Registration, the business registration situation in June recorded positive signals, the number of businesses entering and re-entering the market reached the highest level ever.
In the first 6 months of the year, more than 113,000 businesses were newly established and returned to the market. On average, nearly 19,000 businesses were newly established and returned to operation each month.
However, about 100,000 businesses withdrew from the market, an average of 16,600 businesses withdrawing from the market each month.
This figure has decreased compared to the average number of businesses withdrawing from the market in a month in the first 5 months of 2023 (17,600 businesses) and the first 4 months of 2023 (more than 19,000 businesses).
In addition, business registration data for the first 6 months of 2023 also shows that real estate business continues to be the sector most heavily pressured and affected.
Accordingly, the number of enterprises entering the market and the registered capital of newly established enterprises in this field both decreased sharply compared to the same period last year; down 58.9% and 54.1% respectively.
Meanwhile, the number of real estate businesses withdrawing from the market tends to increase, up 40.4% over the same period in 2022. According to the Department of Business Registration, this is the highest increase in 17 fields.
