“I heard my colleagues report the incident and learned that Dong Duong Company asked for permission and was instructed but did not comply. The penalty decision has now been issued. The pair of dragon models that were requested to be dismantled are one of the highlights of Nguyen Hue Flower Street on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2024 (the year of the Dragon). The pair of dragon mascots are more than 100m long, with two dragon heads measuring more than 2m in diameter.

The two dragons in the court were dismantled on April 3 after more than 2 months of display at Nguyen Hue Flower Street (HCMC) and moved to Da Lat.

According to information from the People's Committee of Da Lat City, after working with the inspection team, Ms. Hoang Thi Luyen (director of Dong Duong Company) agreed to pay the fine.

After paying the fine, the company will submit an application to the People's Committee of Da Lat City to carry out the procedures according to the correct process.

The direction of the People's Committee of Da Lat City for the case of Dong Duong Company is to erect a dragon mascot to serve tourism activities in 2024.
