Check licenses, tighten advertising, prevent "fake illnesses to get money"

In an official dispatch sent to the People's Committees of communes, wards and all medical examination and treatment facilities, the Da Nang Department of Health emphasized that recently, the functional sector has discovered many violations in medical practice.

Violations such as using fake diplomas and practice certificates, practicing without a license, impersonating doctors, false advertising and signs of patient fraud...

Faced with that situation, the Department of Health requires that facilities are only allowed to operate when fully meeting the conditions of facilities, equipment, human resources, environmental sanitation and are only allowed to perform techniques within the licensed scope.

The document especially notes the review of information such as practice certificates, practice licenses, degrees, training certificates, etc. of people working at the facilities.

In addition, the Department also requires rectification of advertising activities, ensuring advertising content is consistent with the licensed technical list.

Incorrect advertising, advertising beyond expertise or using forms of enticement on social networks will be strictly handled.

Medical examination and treatment at legal facilities

For public health facilities, responsibility is specifically assigned to the unit director. Management of after-hours practice activities of health workers must comply with regulations, preventing illegal practice or unlicensed practice at facilities not registered with the Department of Health.

Information about medical examination and treatment facilities is publicly and transparently published by the Department of Health at https://opendata.danang.gov.vn, helping people easily look up before using the service.

During the process of granting business registration certificates, localities need to clearly guide regulations and conditions to avoid granting duplicate names to licensed medical facilities, avoiding confusion for the people.

Local authorities, the health sector and the police will coordinate to inspect and handle beauty establishments and cosmetic services that show signs of illegal medical techniques or false advertising. Cases of unlicensed or unqualified operations will be resolutely handled in accordance with regulations.
