According to the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the 3rd Hanoi Agricultural Products and Craft Villages Festival is an important and practical event to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi Party Committee (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), and the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Department of Agriculture, now the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (November 30, 1954 - November 30, 2024).

The event aims to create favorable conditions for all levels, sectors, economic sectors, organizations, businesses and individuals to participate in trade promotion activities for agricultural products and craft village products; at the same time, promote economic growth and development in the agricultural and rural areas of Hanoi.

Thereby, accelerating the new rural construction program, preserving the village community space and traditional products, creating momentum to restructure the agricultural sector in a sustainable direction, contributing to comprehensive agricultural and rural development.

The opening ceremony of the 3rd Hanoi Agricultural Products and Craft Village Festival 2024 will take place on the evening of November 29, at Mailand Hanoi City Urban Area, An Khanh Commune, Hoai Duc District, Hanoi City.

Attending the opening ceremony, delegates and audiences from the capital and the whole country will enjoy a special art program and films about the 70-year journey of construction and growth of the Hanoi Agriculture and Rural Development sector.

The highlight of this Festival is the space for displaying, promoting, introducing and promoting trade of products in the field of agricultural and rural development, with a scale of 15,000 ^m2 , including 9 main exhibition areas.

Specifically: display area, introduction and promotion of typical agricultural products and craft villages of districts, towns; area of ​​agricultural products and craft villages; area demonstrating the skills of artisans of craft villages; display and introduction of OCOP products; introduction of community tourism spots, agricultural and rural tourism models in Hanoi;

Area for enjoying the quintessence of Vietnamese tea; Ornamental plants area; area for performing arts and introducing Vietnamese cuisine; area for displaying, introducing and manufacturing gift and souvenir products; high-tech agricultural area; machinery, equipment and materials for agricultural production and craft villages; standard booth area for displaying agricultural products and craft villages of provinces, cities and enterprises, organizations and cooperatives.

Within the framework of this Festival, there will also be a Workshop to evaluate the results of the implementation of the coordination program to ensure food safety and quality of agricultural, forestry and fishery products traded between Hanoi and other provinces and cities in 2024 (November 29) and a Workshop on "Orientation and solutions for urban agricultural development in Hanoi" (December 2).

Another special program is "Livestream connecting product consumption" taking place on December 1. The program is organized by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in coordination with Tiktok Vietnam to directly interact with sales (livestream) connecting product consumption for 20 units, establishments, and entities participating in the Festival.

In addition, there are many other activities such as: art performances combined with Ao Dai performances recreating activities associated with the production life and spiritual culture of Hanoi villages; demonstrations of the skills of artisans in craft villages; demonstrations of Vietnamese cuisine and the quintessence of Vietnamese tea; activities to connect and promote trade and product consumption will take place continuously throughout the 5 days of the Festival...

The 3rd Hanoi Agricultural Products and Craft Village Festival in 2024 is organized to concretize Program No. 03/CTr-UBND dated February 19, 2024 of the Hanoi People's Committee on the Program for Promoting Investment, Trade and Tourism in Hanoi in 2024; to implement Plan No. 226/KH-UBND dated July 29, 2024 of the Hanoi People's Committee on organizing the 3rd Hanoi Agricultural Products and Craft Village Festival in 2024.

The Hanoi People's Committee assigned the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to preside over and coordinate the organization of the Festival.
