(NLDO) - Not only creating job opportunities for students, the Ho Chi Minh City Internship and Job Fair 2024 also expands application opportunities for workers in neighboring areas.
On the morning of November 3, thousands of students and workers attended the Ho Chi Minh City Internship and Employment Festival - UEH Career Fair. This is an annual activity organized by Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, aiming to create conditions for students to orient their careers, improve their skills to integrate into the labor market, and at the same time, provide an opportunity for businesses to approach and recruit potential young human resources.
Ho Chi Minh City students seek attractive job opportunities through UEH Career Fair
Present at the festival early, Nguyen Dinh Trong - a second-year student majoring in Business Administration at Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics - said his main goal in attending the festival was to learn about office culture.
"I have planned to learn about some businesses, the content of the research revolves around issues such as office culture, quality of life of employees, entry requirements, etc. Thanks to that, I know my current capacity and have a development plan for the next 2 years, preparing myself before graduating" - Trong expressed.
Sharing the reason why he cares about office culture, Trong believes that spiritual life is very important. If you want employees to work well and achieve high productivity, the workplace must be friendly, close, modern, etc.
Not in a hurry to apply for a job, Trong thinks this is a very good opportunity for him to survey the recruitment needs of businesses.
At the recruitment session, Mr. Nguyen Dai Nghia, Recruitment expert of Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (Vietin Bank), assessed that Gen Z generation has many creative, confident, dynamic and good technology applications. However, the recruitment and retention process is still difficult because the age gap between leaders and employees is quite large.
"To shorten the gap, the bank is constantly innovating and introducing recruitment policies suitable for Gen Z and the current labor market," said Mr. Nghia.
According to Mr. Nghia, most students after graduation have a good foundation of banking knowledge. However, their skills in handling situations, communicating with customers, etc. are still limited. Therefore, in addition to recruiting workers, banks always provide many opportunities for students to become interns and gain more experience.
