On February 19, the People's Committee of Cu Ewi commune (Cu Kuin district) held the opening ceremony of the 8th Viet Bac Folk Culture Festival in 2024.

The 8th Viet Bac Folk Culture Festival in 2024 will take place from February 19 to February 21 (January 10 to January 12 of the lunar calendar, Giap Thin year) in village 4, Cu Ewi commune, with the participation of local people and some villages with ethnic minorities from the northern mountainous region living in Ea Ning commune (Cu Kuin district), Ea Kenh commune, Ea Knuec commune (Krong Pac district).

It is known that Cu Ewi commune has nearly half of its population being ethnic minorities from Cao Bang, Lang Son, Bac Kan provinces... The Viet Bac Folk Culture Festival of Cu Ewi commune is held during the traditional Tet holiday to encourage people's spirit in labor and production. At the same time, it aims to preserve and promote the traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities from the northern provinces as well as other ethnic groups living in the commune, contributing to building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity.
