To celebrate the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2023) and National Day September 2 (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2023), many activities and events are taking place across the country, with flags, flowers, and colorful banners decorated on all the streets. Many meaningful activities in Hanoi Capital
On the morning of September 1, more than 100 people wearing traditional ao dai cycled through the streets to introduce famous tourist attractions of Hanoi to domestic and international visitors.
At around 6am, the convoy started from the Thang Long Imperial Citadel (Ba Dinh district).
The parade passed through streets with many tourist attractions in Hanoi such as: Hoang Dieu - Dien Bien Phu - Le Thai To - Hang Khay - Dinh Tien Hoang (Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square)...
The program is organized by Hanoi Department of Tourism in coordination with Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center and Vietnamese Village Communal House Club.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh - Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism - said that through organizing the program to promote and introduce Hanoi tourist destinations, it is also a new experience activity to attract a large number of domestic and international tourists to the capital.
This is the first time the Hanoi tourism industry has organized an Ao Dai parade, so we hope it will become an annual activity on the occasion of September 2nd, creating an elegant and civilized beauty with green means of transport to protect the environment and attract tourists to Hanoi.
Also on September 1, hundreds of people received free tickets to ride the double-decker bus in Hanoi. The free double-decker bus trips on the City tour for tourists visiting Hanoi took place from September 1 to September 4. This is a meaningful activity, showing the affection of Hanoi City towards the people of the whole country and tourists visiting the capital on the occasion of National Day September 2.
At the same time, it is also an activity to promote and advertise tourist destinations, contributing to continuing to build the image of Hanoi capital tourism as a "Safe - Friendly - Quality - Attractive" destination to meet development requirements in the new situation.
In addition, the Hanoi Department of Tourism in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board continued to distribute bread and drinks to visitors and people visiting the Mausoleum on September 2.

Accordingly, the city organized a photo exhibition to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution and the 78th anniversary of the Saigon Uprising to seize power at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park, Nguyen Hue Street and Dong Khoi Street; Sports performances at the Nguyen Hue pedestrian area...
At the same time, Ho Chi Minh City will organize a fireworks display at the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel (Thu Duc City) and Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11) from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. on September 2.
On Nguyen Thien Thanh Street (Thu Thiem Urban Area), there will be a hot air balloon release on September 2-3. This year's program will have about 20 hot air balloons released into the air, of which 7 are fixed and the rest will fly high.
On September 1, the headquarters of the People's Council and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City (a national architectural and artistic relic) began welcoming visitors. This is a free program and will last until September 2. After that, it will be opened periodically on the last 2 weekends of the month.
Also on the occasion of Independence Day this year, the Saigon - Gia Dinh Special Forces Museum officially opened to welcome visitors. The museum has 7 collections of valuable artifacts associated with the special forces through each period of revolutionary activities. Special and unique in the museum are the collection of secret tunnels and the collection of vehicles of the Saigon - Gia Dinh Special Forces soldiers.
From August 24 to September 15, many cultural, sports and tourism activities will be held in Da Nang city.
Notably, the Da Nang Traditional Boat Race took place on National Day, September 2. This is an annual tournament that bears the mark of Da Nang City, but the tournament was suspended in 2018 and was restored this year.

On this occasion, the Danang Golf Tourism Festival 2023 takes place from August 24 to September 2. The highlight of the festival is the Asian Professional Golf Tournament - BRG Open Championship Danang 2023, attracting 144 of Asia's leading professional golfers to participate in many exchange and experiential tourism activities.
