VHO - The People's Committee of Quang Nam province has just issued an official dispatch on reviewing, adjusting and implementing the determination of administrative units formed after the rearrangement with relics that are world cultural and natural heritages, special national relics and other issues under the state management of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches and localities to review, adjust and determine the administrative units (ADUs) formed after the arrangement with relics that are world cultural and natural heritages, special national relics and other issues under the state management of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as guided in Official Dispatch No. 1445/BVHTTDL-DSVH.

Complete the review report and send it to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism before October 30, 2025.

Previously, on April 7, 2025, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Official Dispatch No. 1445, requesting the People's Committees of provinces/cities under the Central Government to direct the administrative units formed after the arrangement for a number of areas under the state management of culture, sports and tourism.

In which, specific instructions are given in the fields of: Cultural heritage; Grassroots culture; Tourism.

Note to keep the names of world cultural and natural heritages, special national monuments, national monuments, provincial/municipal monuments that have been recognized and ranked intact so as not to change the original elements constituting the monument as well as the historical, cultural and scientific values ​​of the monument according to the provisions of the Law on Cultural Heritage and the 1972 UNESCO Convention on the Protection of World Cultural and Natural Heritage.

Maintain the names of recognized national tourist areas, at the same time, update the place names associated with the tourist areas according to the newly arranged administrative units,...

Dong Duong Buddhist Monastery - Quang Nam special national relic

Quang Nam currently owns 451 ranked relics including all types: history, archeology, art architecture and scenic spots. Including 2 world cultural heritages: Hoi An Ancient Town and My Son Temple Complex; Cu Lao Cham World Biosphere Reserve; 4 special national relics; 64 national relics and 383 provincial relics.

The system of museums and traditional houses in the province is preserving and displaying more than 30 thousand artifacts; including 3 national treasures recognized by the Prime Minister, including the head of the Shiva statue, the Ekamukhalinga artifact, and the My Son A10 altar.

My Son A10 altar is made of sandstone, dating from the late 9th century, early 10th century and recognized as a national treasure.
