The Women's Union of Tran Phu Ward (Ha Tinh City) has just launched a model of a trusted address in the community and a meaningful model of collecting old batteries. This is the first unit in the city to launch these practical models.
On the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the Vietnam Women's Union, the Women's Union of Tran Phu Ward (Ha Tinh City) has built and launched a model of a trusted address in the community and a collection of old batteries. These are practical models that contribute to environmental protection and care for the legitimate rights and interests of cadres and members.
With the old battery collection model, the Ward Women's Union built 7 battery collection boxes located in the premises of 7 residential groups in the ward.
The community-based trusted address model is a model for supporting victims of domestic violence. This is where victims of domestic violence can confidently come to seek advice on preventing and combating domestic violence or seek support and assistance in cases where timely protection is needed to avoid further acts of violence. The trusted address is located at a location in the area for members to take refuge when needed.
For the old battery collection model, the Ward Women's Union built 7 battery collection boxes located in the premises of 7 residential groups in the ward.
The model is designed as a battery collection box, the outside is covered with decal paper printed with images and messages "A discarded battery will pollute 500L of water or 1m3 of land in 50 years" to propagate and remind people. The old battery collection box is attached to the "Green Eco-saving House" for the convenience of women's association members and people to dispose of old batteries when no longer in use.
Not only launching the model, the Ward Women's Union actively propagates and mobilizes members to protect the environment.
After collection, the old batteries will be sent by the Ward Women's Union to competent units for proper disposal, in order to protect the environment and protect the health of the community.
Ms. Tran Thi Hanh - President of the Women's Union of Tran Phu Ward said: "With the motto that each model and movement organized by the Women's Union brings the most practical meaning, towards the members, the Women's Union of the ward has pondered and promptly launched 2 models right on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union. These are 2 new models, the first in the city. In the coming time, we will continue to propagate and mobilize members to promote their role in preserving and protecting the environment; at the same time, protect the rights and legitimate interests of members".
