On the afternoon of January 14, Tu Mo Rong District People's Committee held a ceremony to receive the decision of Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee on recognizing Tu Tho resettlement village as a community tourism village.

Accordingly, Tu Tho community tourism village has an area of ​​nearly 5 hectares. Previously, villagers had to live in an area at risk of landslides. With the desire to help people settle down and make a living, Tu Mo Rong District People's Committee built Tu Tho resettlement village and relocated people to a new place. After 5 years of relocation, people's lives have changed, they know how to plant forests, cold-climate coffee and precious medicinal gardens such as ginseng and Ngoc Linh ginseng.

Recently, under the guidance of the local authorities, villagers have proactively joined together to build accommodation; attend training courses, serve tourism; establish gong and culinary teams to serve guests; and renovate flower gardens and village grounds.

In the village, there have been activities to attract tourists such as visiting Ngoc Linh ginseng medicinal garden, admiring terraced fields, watching hills and hunting clouds, conquering Ngoc Linh peak, watching waterfalls, camping. Thanks to the beautiful scenery and unique types of tourism, the number of visitors to Tu Tho for sightseeing and relaxation has been increasing continuously. Thanks to that, the life of the villagers has been increasingly improved.

In 2024 alone, Tu Tho village will welcome 5,000 tourists. The village was also chosen to host two important events: the International Medicinal Food Competition and the Ngoc Linh Ginseng Workshop, contributing to enhancing the value, protecting and developing two precious medicinal herbs: ginseng and Ngoc Linh ginseng.

At the ceremony to announce the decision of Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee to recognize Tu Tho resettlement village as a community tourism village, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented the village with a set of precious gongs for tourism purposes. In addition, Tu Mo Rong District People's Committee also organized an auction of 2.4 kg of Ngoc Linh ginseng to help Tu Tho resettlement village build a long house of the Xo Dang people to welcome tourists and restore the long house of Mo Pa village (Dak Ha commune, Tu Mo Rong district).

Mr. Vo Trung Manh - Chairman of Tu Mo Rong District People's Committee said: "The recognition of Tu Tho resettlement village as a community tourism village will open up opportunities for the village to develop tourism in a professional and organized manner associated with preserving the culture of the Xo Dang ethnic group. From here, Tu Tho village will develop along three economic axes: agriculture, medicinal herbs and tourism. The district believes that with the foundation of its natural beauty, combined with careful investment and preparation, Tu Tho Community Tourism Village will attract tourists to relax and take care of their health. The village will "take off" thanks to community tourism, helping people have more income and stabilize their lives on the land that produces the national treasure Ngoc Linh ginseng".
