Speaking at the press conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Lien - Head of the Exhibition Organizing Committee - said that the Vietnam International Elevator Exhibition 2024 has the participation of nearly 100 domestic and foreign enterprises, displaying and introducing many products, such as: Escalators of all kinds, automatic elevators, elevator components and parts; elevator installation and maintenance equipment; elevator services such as technology development and innovation solutions, installation, consulting, services, testing, design and consulting, auxiliary equipment.
In addition, according to Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, within the framework of the exhibition, there will be a conference on exchange and trade of the elevator industry. At the conference, representatives of enterprises, elevator manufacturing and trading units will discuss the development trends of the industry, as well as trends in technological innovation and opportunities for business cooperation, market development, etc.
" Through the exhibition, the Organizing Committee hopes to create a bridge for businesses and participating units to catch up with the latest technology trends in the elevator industry; this is also an opportunity for units to build and develop business relationships, promote trade, expand markets, and contribute to the sustainable development of Vietnam, " Ms. Lien emphasized.
In recent times, Vietnam's economy has developed rapidly and steadily. In particular, Mr. Trinh Minh Anh - Chief of Office of the Steering Committee for International Economic Integration - said that Vietnam has participated in 19 free trade agreements (FTAs), of which 16 FTAs are in effect and 3 FTAs are under negotiation. " The FTAs have made Vietnam one of the economies with a high degree of openness (200% of GDP), creating favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to expand access and establish trade relations and bring Vietnamese goods to more than 230 markets ," said Mr. Trinh Minh Anh.
The Chief of Office of the Inter-sectoral Steering Committee for International Economic Integration said that if the growth momentum continues, by 2038, Vietnam's GDP is expected to reach... 1,559 billion USD, Vietnam's economy will surpass other countries in the region and enter the group of 35 leading economies in the world. Accordingly, the above fundamental figures are the basic basis for Vietnam to attract foreign investment, including the elevator industry.
In particular, the Prime Minister approved the investment plan to build 1 million social housing units in the 2021-2030 period. The project is currently being strongly implemented in many large cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Hai Phong, leading to an increase in demand for elevators, attracting huge investment in the elevator industry. "In addition, many other real estate, apartment, and urban projects are also being implemented, and this shows great investment and development potential for the elevator market," Mr. Trinh Minh Anh assessed.

According to the Vietnam Elevator Association, there are currently nearly 300 enterprises operating in the elevator sector. The world's leading elevator brands have also appeared in Vietnam. Thus, Mr. Trinh Minh Anh said that the organization of the Vietnam International Elevator Exhibition will be a bridge between domestic and foreign elevator manufacturers, suppliers, businesses and investors. Through that, businesses and investors can strengthen cooperation, develop the elevator market, and achieve positive growth figures in the coming time.
At the press conference of the Vietnam International Elevator Exhibition, the representative of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce also shared that Vietnam and China have a long-standing friendly relationship, and bilateral relations are growing stronger and stronger; economic and trade cooperation has achieved many good results, high-quality Vietnamese agricultural products have increased exports to China; in the opposite direction, raw materials and machinery exported from China to Vietnam have contributed to supporting the development of the manufacturing industry and improving Vietnam's production capacity.
In particular, according to the representative of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, with the rapid economic development, infrastructure, urbanization, etc., the demand for elevators in Vietnam is increasing. Meanwhile, under the promotion of technology, Chinese elevator products are developing rapidly, many enterprises are emerging, providing and meeting the market's needs for products and services, etc. Therefore, cooperation in the elevator field between Vietnam and China still has a lot of room for development.
In order to promote business cooperation in the elevator industry, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce will organize a business delegation to participate in the exhibition. To date, more than 60 businesses have shown interest in this elevator trade event in Vietnam, as well as meetings and exchanges with Vietnamese elevator businesses. "We believe that the exhibition will create a professional playground for Vietnamese and Chinese businesses in the elevator industry to exchange technology, seek business opportunities, and promote economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and China," the representative of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce emphasized.
