- What was the reason you "nodded" to Quang Ninh, a land very far away and very different from your Bac Lieu?

+ My first impression of Quang Ninh in the 2017 meeting was the way the leaders of Quang Ninh province raised the issue of developing the shrimp industry in a sustainable and high-tech direction. Quang Ninh is not a locality with a long tradition of shrimp farming like Bac Lieu or the Western provinces, but there is a difference. I think that difference is an opportunity.

-   So in your eyes, what potential does Quang Ninh have and what are your expectations for Quang Ninh?

+ The decision to invest in Quang Ninh is not only emotional, but also a strategic decision, based on careful analysis of the potential, advantages and opportunities of this land. There are 3 important factors that made me decide to invest in Quang Ninh. First, the strategic location. Quang Ninh is located at the northern gateway, close to major markets such as Hanoi, Hai Phong and especially China - one of the largest shrimp consuming markets in the world. Developing a high-quality shrimp production center here not only serves the domestic market, but also creates export advantages. Second, the investment environment and determination of local leaders. During that working trip, I realized that the Quang Ninh government has a very clear vision and a strong commitment to developing high-tech agriculture. This is very important, because a large-scale project like Viet Uc not only requires investment capital, but also needs the support of the government to ensure conditions for infrastructure, policies and development support. Third, the potential for developing the high-tech shrimp industry in the North. Viet Uc always aims to apply the most advanced technology to create high-quality breeds that are suitable for local soil conditions to accompany the success of shrimp farmers in the North. Quang Ninh with its unique natural conditions, has many large-scale high-tech shrimp farming models, combined with Viet Uc's quality shrimp breeds will help improve crop efficiency, enhance shrimp products in the North, creating sustainable value for farmers and the local economy.

In terms of expectations, I not only hope that Viet Uc - Quang Ninh will become a successful project, but also aim to create a sustainable shrimp farming ecosystem, helping farmers access modern technology, improve productivity and quality, thereby increasing income. Furthermore, I hope that Quang Ninh can become one of the important shrimp production centers of the country, contributing to bringing the Vietnamese shrimp brand to the international market. Above all, my ambition does not stop at expanding the scale of production, but also creating a sustainable value for the Vietnamese shrimp industry.

- Up to now, Viet Uc has brought Southern shrimp to Quang Ninh for over 7 years. What have you realized about the actual production of Viet Uc shrimp in Quang Ninh?

+ Looking back on the journey of more than 7 years of bringing Southern shrimp to Quang Ninh, I am more convinced that investing in Quang Ninh was the right decision. The production practice in Quang Ninh has shown me that developing a high-tech shrimp industry in the North requires perseverance and flexible adaptation. The climate, soil, and farming practices in Quang Ninh are very different from those in the Southern provinces - where there is a tradition of shrimp farming for decades. Initially, we encountered many difficulties in optimizing farming conditions to ensure productivity and quality of the breed. But thanks to the combination of science and technology, experience from the South and the support of the government, together with shrimp farmers, we have gradually found the solution. Northern shrimp farmers in general, and Quang Ninh in particular, have a very good spirit of learning and adaptation, are ready and willing to invest, especially in high science and technology in shrimp farming to improve efficiency. This creates a great motivation for us to continue to expand and upgrade more in product quality. Viet Uc shrimp has proven its value in Quang Ninh. The quality of the breed, the stability in production and output are increasingly affirmed, not only helping farmers have a better income, but also creating a foundation for the sustainable development of the high-tech shrimp industry in the North.

Looking to the future, I believe that Vietnamese-Australian shrimp in Quang Ninh still has many more opportunities to break through, bringing the shrimp industry in this region to a new level, contributing to the overall development of the Vietnamese shrimp industry.

- As a Southerner coming to invest in the land at the beginning of the S-shape, how would you describe your feelings and trust in Quang Ninh?

+ For me, Quang Ninh is not only an investment destination, but also a land that leaves many deep impressions of affection and trust. I not only see the development potential of the shrimp industry in Quang Ninh, but also feel the friendliness, determination and innovative spirit of the people here. I have great faith in Quang Ninh, because this is a locality that always aspires to rise up, always looking for new directions for sustainable development. It is the openness, companionship and inquisitive spirit of the local government as well as the people here that have motivated me to continuously invest and contribute. Above all, my affection for Quang Ninh does not stop at the role of a businessman, but also in the attachment to a land with many good fortunes. I believe that the combination of Viet Uc's passion and Quang Ninh's potential will not only bring achievements in the shrimp industry, but also contribute to the overall development of the locality.
