In 2024, tourism is one of the bright spots in the province's economic picture, with a clear increase in the number of visitors from target markets. This is also the year that the province organizes many large-scale tourism promotion and advertising activities domestically and internationally. Thereby contributing to positioning the image and brand of Thanh Hoa tourism destinations in key markets, on the other hand, supporting tourism businesses in the province to find partners, connect and expand the customer market. As a result, the number of visitors and tourism revenue in 2024 both exceeded the set plan, the whole province welcomed about 15.3 million visitors, with total revenue estimated at 33,815 trillion VND.

With the requirement of promoting tourism growth in depth and quality, the Provincial Tourism Development Steering Committee has focused on innovation in the direction of focus and key points. The tourism communication, promotion and advertising campaign in 2024 will be carried out regularly and continuously on central media and target provinces and cities that Thanh Hoa is aiming for such as: Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi; Central and Central Highlands provinces; provinces and cities in the extended Red River Delta region... Along with that, propaganda activities on digital platforms (tiktok, facebook fanpage, youtube) and at major domestic airports (Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat, Da Nang) have been effectively implemented. In particular, Thanh Hoa province has directly organized tourism promotion and stimulus activities, linking and cooperating to develop tourism in Hanoi, Bac Giang, Son La, Ho Chi Minh City... and the Northeast Asian market block with large sources of visitors (mainly Korea, China, Japan...).

At recent meetings and conferences to promote tourism, representatives of travel agencies highly appreciated the innovation in the promotion of Thanh Hoa tourism. According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen, General Director of GBest Vietnam Joint Stock Company, Thanh Hoa is one of the localities that is organizing a good tourism communication and promotion campaign. According to the survey results conducted during the 4-day, 3-night famtrip in Thanh Hoa last November, the satisfaction level of the survey participants (nearly 60 reputable domestic travel agencies) about the overall program reached 4.41/5 points. This shows that the opportunity to welcome visitors from key domestic tourism markets of Thanh Hoa in the coming time is very large. However, tourism promotion and advertising work needs to go hand in hand with improving the quality of tourism services and products. Along with that, further promote advertising on online platforms to expand reach and customer markets.

According to tourism experts, Thanh Hoa has a lot of room to further promote tourism promotion activities to markets with large tourist sources and strong growth. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to further promote the role of "conductor" of the State management agency, promote cooperation with key tourist areas in the country. Along with that, tourism businesses in the province need to cooperate, create large-scale, synchronous tourism stimulus campaigns. With the goal of expanding the tourist market, especially the high-spending customers, choosing the right associated market is very necessary. On the other hand, it is necessary to study and remove difficulties in aviation so that tourism promotion and promotion activities bring practical results.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ms. Vuong Thi Hai Yen said: In 2024, tourism promotion and promotion activities will focus on innovation, breakthroughs and creativity in the direction of expanding the scope and scale. Along with promotion and promotion activities in domestic and international markets, the successful organization of 145 cultural, sports and tourism activities and events has contributed to realizing the message "Thanh Hoa Tourism - Four Seasons of Fragrance", enriching the experience for tourists when coming to Thanh Hoa. Notably, this year's promotion and promotion activities are organized throughout the year, attracting the attention of tourists. This shows the close and smooth coordination of all levels, sectors and related units to synchronously and effectively implement promotion and promotion activities.

In 2025, Thanh Hoa province will focus on promoting domestic tourism stimulus programs, new products, and new tours and routes to attract the attention of domestic tourists and travel businesses. For the promotion program in the international market, resources will be focused on markets with a large proportion of visitors, high potential and growth potential such as the Northeast Asian market block (mainly countries and territories such as China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, Korea) and Russia, the US, and France. At the same time, promote and advertise on digital platforms, strengthen coordination and cooperation with international media channels such as CNN, BBC, etc. to create greater efficiency for the international tourist market.
