On August 8, according to information from the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho , the Department has just reported to the Department of Finance on the results of receiving, using and distributing rice for the 2024-2025 school year and the plan for rice support needs for the 2025-2026 school year.
Accordingly, through reviewing the rice demand of students in the whole Phu Tho province in the 2025-2026 school year according to Decree 66/2025/ND-CP is over 4,310 tons of rice.
Of which, the Hoa Binh area (old) has the highest demand of over 3,160 tons; the Phu Tho area (old) is nearly 1,120 tons; the Vinh Phuc area (old) is over 31 tons.
Specifically, the demand for rice in the first semester of the 2025-2026 school year for students in the entire Phu Tho province is nearly 1,700 tons of rice.
Of which, Hoa Binh area (old) is nearly 1,260 tons; Phu Tho area (old): over 426 tons; Vinh Phuc area (old) is 12.6 tons.
The demand for rice in the second semester of the 2025-2026 school year for students in the entire Phu Tho province is over 2,120 tons.
Of which, Hoa Binh area (old) is over 1,570 tons; Phu Tho area (old) is over 532 tons; Vinh Phuc area (old) is over 17.3 tons.
Decree No. 66/2025/ND-CP takes effect from May 1, 2025, "Regulating policies for nursery children, students, and trainees in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, coastal and island areas, and educational institutions with nursery children and students enjoying policies", replacing Decree No. 116/2016/ND-CP dated July 18, 2016 of the Government.
This Decree stipulates policies for nursery children, students and trainees in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, communes with special difficulties in coastal and island areas and educational institutions with nursery children and students enjoying policies, including: subjects of application, conditions, principles, policy levels, policy approval procedures, rice allocation and funding for policy implementation for nursery children, students of general education institutions, students of preparatory colleges, students of continuing education institutions in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, communes with special difficulties in coastal and island areas.
Accordingly, students in the above categories are supported with food, housing and rice. This is not only a practical support policy but also a motivation to help students in disadvantaged areas have better learning conditions.
