On November 23, information from Vinmec Phu Quoc Hospital (Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang) said that doctors at the hospital recently saved the life of a Korean tourist (whose family requested not to be named) who fell and suffered a severe brain hemorrhage.
Doctors at the hospital said the male patient was admitted in a state of lethargy, stiff neck, and weak limbs due to trauma after a fall. A CT scan later revealed that the patient had multiple brain hemorrhages and severe brain edema after the trauma.
After consultation, the doctor decided on conservative treatment. At the same time, after resuscitation, the patient's condition gradually recovered, he became more alert, his muscle strength improved significantly, and he could move gently in bed.
The patient's family then wished to bring him back to Korea to continue treatment during the recovery period.
The hospital sent a doctor, a nurse, equipment and medicine to help bring the patient back to Korea by civil aircraft safely and to be hospitalized in Korea for continued treatment.
