Accordingly, in the budget estimate for the activities of the parent representative board of grade 6/10 students for the 2024-2025 school year, there are 12 activities, including: Mid-Autumn Festival, sponsoring 3 electric fans for children, renting performance costumes, flowers to congratulate Vietnamese Teachers' Day, decoration activities to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day, decoration to welcome Lunar New Year, lucky money activities to welcome Lunar New Year, activities to celebrate International Women's Day 8.3, rewards and encouragement, photocopying of study materials for subjects, equipping classroom supplies...

Speaking to Thanh Nien Newspaper reporters this afternoon, October 2, Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Suong, Principal of Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School (Tan Binh District), said: "I would like to confirm that the contents in the budget estimate for the activities of the 6th grade parents' representative board mentioned above are not the school's policy."

Ms. Suong added that previously, on September 22, the school held a meeting with parents to announce activities and educational programs, but did not receive any feedback from parents. Then, on the evening of September 30, a picture of the income and expenditure budget of the 6th grade parents' representative committee appeared on social media.

Ms. Suong said: "The very next morning, October 1, I met with the class's parent representative committee to get information. According to the representative committee, during the class's parent meeting, the members specifically proposed the contents expected to be implemented during the school year and the parents also discussed and exchanged. After that, 23/26 parents voted to implement. On the afternoon of October 1, I directly had a discussion with 20/26 parents of the class. I also frankly shared that although it was not a policy or regulation of the school, the incident that happened in a class of the school still had to be discussed by the head. In the meeting yesterday afternoon, the parents still gave their consensus on the contents of the budget that the class representative committee built in the spirit of voluntariness, without coercion."

"I clearly stated the school's viewpoint and made the decision to 'intervene' in the organization of the class by removing the content of gratitude to teachers and unnecessary content in the budget; at the same time, re-establish the budget plan to focus on activities that directly support and care for students," said the Principal of Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School.

Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Suong also added that the whole school has implemented lessons learned. The Board of Directors has asked homeroom teachers to collect the activities of the parent-teacher association of each class for the school to review, to avoid cases of not implementing in accordance with Circular 55 on regulations of the parent-teacher association, creating bad public opinion, affecting educational activities.

Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School, one of three public schools (along with Hung Vuong Primary School and Son Ca Kindergarten) in Tan Binh District, was newly established in July 2024. These three schools were built according to national standard school regulations with a total construction cost of over VND 1,150 billion from the city budget. The cluster of three schools is located on a public works land with an area of ​​over 50,000 ^m2 in Ward 6, Tan Binh District. This school year, the school only enrolls 10 new grade 6 students and 10 grade 7 students (students transferred from other schools). The school is expected to be inaugurated and put into use on April 30, 2025 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day. While waiting for construction, students of Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School are temporarily studying at the headquarters of the Department of Education and Training of Tan Binh District.
