Man fined for illegally organizing football tournament, advertising betting website

On November 10, according to information from the Internal Political Security Department of Quang Nam Provincial Police, the unit has just issued a decision to administratively sanction LVQ (residing in Duy Nghia commune, Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province) for organizing a mass football tournament (amateur football tournament) without permission and propagating and sharing information about prohibited goods and services.

Accordingly, LVQ is the organizer of the 2nd Central S7 Football Championship - Demnaylive Cup 2024 at Thuy Loi-Hoi An football field (Quang Nam) with the participation of 8 football teams but did not report in writing to the competent State agency.

This is a violation of regulations on organizing mass sports tournaments , violating Point c, Clause 2, Article 14, Decree 46/2019/ND-CP dated May 27, 2019, regulating administrative sanctions in the field of sports.

LVQ also advertised Demnaylive - a website providing football betting services that is not licensed to operate in Vietnam - on the fanpage "Fueling Football".

This is an act of propagating and sharing information about prohibited goods and services, violating Point e, Clause 1, Article 101, Decree No. 15/2020/ND-CP dated February 3, 2020, amended and supplemented by Decree No. 14/2022/ND-CP dated January 27, 2022.

Working with the police, LVQ admitted to violating the law. Therefore, after consolidating the records, the Internal Political Security Department of Quang Nam Provincial Police decided to administratively fine LVQ a total of 9 million VND for the above two violations.
