1.7m long python discovered crawling into apartment complex

On November 25, the Ho Chi Minh City Forest Protection Department announced that it had just rescued and taken care of a 1.7 meter long python handed over by a local resident.

Forest rangers came to receive the python, brought it back for rescue and care.

According to the forest rangers, the python weighed about 4.8 kg, was about 1.7 m long, with the scientific name Python bivittatus, belonging to group IIB in the list of rare and endangered forest animals.

Previously, on the afternoon of November 22, residents of My Phuoc apartment building (Binh Thanh District) discovered this python crawling into the parking lot area in block C of the apartment building. The apartment building security guard coordinated with residents to capture the python. Next, the apartment building management board contacted the authorities to hand over the ground python.

The forest rangers then came to receive the python and brought it to the Wildlife Rescue Station in Cu Chi (HCMC) to raise, care for and rescue it according to regulations.
