Specifically, Coach Van Sy Son reacted strongly to the decision to recognize Alan Grafite's equalizer 4-4 of CAHN Club in the 90+7 minute in the match against Quang Nam Club, taking place at 7:15 p.m. on February 15 at Hang Day Stadium in round 13 of V-League 2024 - 2025.

After the match, reacting violently to the referee, Mr. Van Sy Son threw the card onto the field. Talking to the press after the match, the coach of the Quang Nam team continued to criticize the referee. However, Mr. Son reacted wrongly because the situation in which the Hanoi Police team player did not commit a foul on the Quang Nam player, according to the technical video. The referee made the right decision. And no matter what the situation, the coach does not have the right to insult and behave inappropriately to react to the referee.

After carefully reviewing the situation, the Disciplinary Board of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) decided to suspend Mr. Van Sy Son from coaching for 2 matches and fine him 5 million VND.

The disciplinary document clearly states: "Based on the report of the supervisor, referee and professional documents of the match between CAHN Club and Quang Nam Club on February 15 in V-League 2024 - 2025, based on the report and proposal of the organizing committee of the national professional football tournaments in 2024 - 25: decided to fine 5 million VND and suspend the duty of the next 2 matches for Mr. Van Sy Son, head coach of Quang Nam Club due to his reaction to the referee".

Thus, Coach Van Sy Son will be absent from the two matches between Quang Nam and Thanh Hoa (February 19 and February 23), both within the framework of the V-League.

After 12 matches, Quang Nam has 12 points, temporarily ranked 11th. Coach Van Sy Son and his team are only 1 point ahead of Hai Phong's play-off position.
