The Steering Committee for the review of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW has just issued a notice of conclusion on the review of the implementation of Resolution No. 18 "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently", at the first meeting on November 30, chaired by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh (Head of the Steering Committee). The head of the Government directed ministries and agencies to immediately establish a Steering Committee headed by a minister or head of the agency to direct the reorganization of the apparatus in the spirit of the Central Steering Committee and the Government's Steering Committee on summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18. The Prime Minister noted the need to focus on propaganda work, creating consensus and unity in the reorganization process; propose a plan to perfect the apparatus, including a suitable management mechanism for corporations, general companies, and state-owned enterprises, especially large and important corporations. In addition, according to the Prime Minister, it is necessary to have solutions to resolve issues related to personnel work. The Ministry of Home Affairs is assigned to continue to complete the work plan of the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers with the Ministry of Home Affairs and agencies expected to merge, consolidate, and arrange functions, tasks, and apparatus organization to carry out work related to the reorganization of the apparatus. The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Home Affairs to complete the draft plan to reorganize and streamline the Party apparatus of the Government, ministries and agencies of the Government. At the same time, urgently study and review to promptly issue legal documents on regimes and policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers when implementing the reorganization. Proposing institutional solutions, creating a legal basis for ministries and agencies to carry out work continuously, smoothly and without interruption, is also the content that the Prime Minister thoroughly grasped. The Ministry of Information and Communications and the Ministry of Science and Technology became the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Science and Technology, assigned Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son to preside; the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs assigned Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long to preside.
