(Dan Tri) - Mr. Uong Viet Dung, Chief of Office of the Ministry of Transport, has just been appointed to the position of Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.
On January 2, the official website of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam updated the list of its leaders. Accordingly, Mr. Uong Viet Dung holds the position of Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam. The current Deputy Directors are Mr. Do Hong Cam and Mr. Ho Minh Tan.
Mr. Uong Viet Dung was appointed to the position of Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, replacing Mr. Dinh Viet Thang. Previously, Mr. Thang had submitted an application for early retirement.
Before being appointed as Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, Mr. Uong Viet Dung was Chief of Office of the Ministry of Transport (MOT) and concurrently Director and Chief of Office of the Party Committee of the MOT.

Mr. Uong Viet Dung was born in 1983, is an engineer majoring in Aircraft Engineering, Saint Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation (Russian Federation); Bachelor of Business Finance, National Economics University; Master of Human Resource Management; Senior Political Theory.
Mr. Dung has held positions such as: Deputy Chief of Office of the National Traffic Safety Committee (2014-2019), Deputy Chief of Office in charge of communications of the Ministry of Transport (2019-2022).
From December 23, 2022, Mr. Uong Viet Dung was transferred from Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Transport to hold the position of Department Head, Chief of Office of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Transport.
Mr. Dung was then appointed as Chief of Office of the Ministry from March 10, 2023.
In addition, Mr. Uong Viet Dung also has nearly 10 years of working experience at the Aircraft Engineering Company, Vietnam Airlines Corporation.
