The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has just issued a decision to strengthen the Steering Committee for inspection, supervision, and urging the resolution of outstanding cases, problems, and mass complaints in Ho Chi Minh City (Steering Committee 902).

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, was assigned to participate in Steering Committee 902 and assume the role of Head of the Committee.

Steering Committee 902 was established by the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee in August 2022, with the task of inspecting, supervising and urging the resolution of outstanding cases, problems and mass complaints in Ho Chi Minh City.

Previously, Steering Committee 902 was headed by Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai, former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. In January 2025, Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai was transferred to hold the position of Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi has been the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term since the end of January 2025.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi is also holding the role of Secretary of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Party agencies for the 2020 - 2025 term.
