The Tay Ninh Holy See is considered one of the greatest religious architectural works of the Cao Dai religion. This is also one of the tourist attractions that attracts many visitors to Tay Ninh.

Whether in the chilly weather of the last day of the year or on hot sunny days, every day, at around 5am, on the streets inside the Holy See, the rustling sound of brooms mixed with the voices of the volunteers wishing to contribute a little effort to make the Holy See grounds cleaner.

Volunteer groups sweeping the grounds of the Tay Ninh Holy See have existed for a long time, at first there were only a few people, but now the number has increased significantly. The main job is to sweep and collect trash into the incinerator.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bien (67 years old, living in Hoa Thanh town) shared: “Every day, I and a few friends go to the Holy See to clean. My volunteer group has about 6-7 people, besides my group, there are many other groups working in areas in the Holy See. I feel very happy and joyful to do this work every day.”

As a person living far away from home, during her visits to Tay Ninh, Mrs. My Tuyet (70 years old, living in the United States) accidentally saw people cleaning and doing volunteer work at the Holy See. She felt very interested so she tried to contact them to do volunteer work together.

“I feel very happy to see the clean roads in the Holy See. My wish every time I return to Vietnam is to do volunteer work and contribute a little to the locality. What makes me enjoy this work even more is the support of my family and children,” said Ms. Tuyet.

Although the men and women in the volunteer group are old, they are still quick and diligent when doing these tasks. Whenever there are fallen leaves or people accidentally littering, the men and women appear to sweep up. Therefore, the inner streets of the Holy See are always clean at any time of the year.

Wiping the sweat from his face, Mr. Nguyen Cong Danh (67 years old, living in Tay Ninh city) said that in his old age, doing volunteer work is a source of happiness. Instead of exercising or chatting with friends every morning, he chooses to clean the grounds of the Holy See, which is both healthy and allows him to put aside all the worries of life. "I hope this work will spread positive things to everyone around me," Mr. Danh said.

For so many years, people have been diligently sweeping and cleaning the grounds of the Holy See. Their tools are simply a broom, a large sack, a shovel and a watering can, but without anyone telling them to, they have been working enthusiastically and diligently until today. Hopefully, this meaningful activity will contribute to raising people's awareness and responsibility in protecting the environment.
