Ninh Giang 3 commune (including Binh Xuyen, Hong Phong and Kien Phuc communes) is expected to be named Khuc Thua Du commune.

The name of Hong Chau commune is taken from the historical place name - Hong Chau land, associated with the names, life and career of the three lords of the Khuc family, who built the foundation of national independence from the 10th century.
